How to play & help

Choose a bestie. Get inside MaxTech, enter the glowing portal and turn off the AI. Then return to the building and reach your friends outside before the doors lock.

Four moves to know

• Move: A / D or the left / right arrow keys. Let go to stop.
• Jump: hold Space for a high jump. Release early for a small hop.
• Slide: press S or Down while moving. Hold to stay low.
• Use a control: walk close to a panel, lift or door, then press E once.

Esc pauses. M changes sound. If you leave the tab or make the window too small, the game pauses. Use Read messages to pause and read your team’s recent instructions. The next goal stays above the playfield.

A little help along the way

Choose Story Assist for five hearts, slower patrols, more escape time and automatic rescue after a fall. Standard and Assist have separate records. Safe places save progress during the mission; restarting rolls controls and score back to that point. Two optional team controls open useful routes.

Computer requirements

Use a computer with a keyboard, JavaScript enabled and a window at least 1024 × 600 pixels. Supported entry versions begin at Chrome/Edge 111, Firefox 114 and Safari 16.4. Use an updated browser. Phones and tablets cannot enter this release. Sound is optional.

If something goes wrong

• Can’t enter: maximize the browser, click the keyboard check, then press Space and E. Ask a grown-up to help update the browser if needed.
• Artwork won’t load: check the connection and choose Retry loading.
• Movement stops: click the game, check Pause, then release and press the movement key again.
• Best times are busy: keep playing. A device record still counts. Public ranking must be selected before a new adventure.
• Reloaded the game: Home can continue from your last saved safe place for up to 24 hours. This resumed adventure saves only a device record.
• A post did not finish: keep this tab open or return to Home and retry the pending post within 24 hours. Retry uses the same result.
