← Escape from MaxTech

For parents & privacy

Escape from MaxTech is a single-player Boss Beauties adventure for computers with keyboards. Players run, jump and slide through a sci-fi building and a digital world to bring four friends home. It contains fictional peril, security patrols and flashing effects. Story Assist offers more hearts, slower patrols, extra time and rescue after a fall.

The game has no chat, player accounts, advertising or purchases. Sound is optional. Reduced effects are available in Settings and Pause. Keyboard controls and a visual playfield are required; the platforming does not currently have an equivalent nonvisual mode.

Playing and saving on this device

Sound, effects, character choices, completed practice and personal records can be saved in this browser. A device-only adventure recovery point is available to resume for up to 24 hours. Expired recovery data is removed when the game next checks it, or when you clear game records in Help. Returning-player and message-reading preferences also stay here. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent saving. You can clear these game records in Help.

The optional public board

Public ranking starts only if the player selects the optional public-time box before an adventure. If the player is under 13, they should ask a grown-up first. This instruction is not an age check or a parental-consent system.

That choice requests a temporary run ticket and reports the selected character and run start/completion to aggregate counters. These counters are unverified reports, not a count of individual children. Completing the game alone does not publish a result.

To post, choose a pretend player name from the supplied list. Do not use a real name. The chosen name, character, mode, time, score, rank, hits, retries and team advantages may appear publicly. Results are displayed for up to 30 days; the fastest 25 appear on each current board. Posting is optional and does not affect the ability to finish.

When a player presses Post, the server checks recorded game inputs to verify the run. It does not retain the full replay. The server keeps the result, a run identifier and short-lived verification data. Tickets expire after 24 hours. Keyed network identifiers help limit abuse; these are pseudonymous, not anonymous, and their buckets expire after 30 minutes. The application does not store the raw IP address in these buckets.

If posting is interrupted, this browser tab can retain one pending post, including its temporary ticket and game inputs, for retry until the ticket expires. Expired pending data is removed when Home next checks it, or when you clear game records in Help. The player can retry the same result or forget it on Home. Confirmed or terminal responses clear it.
